Privacy Policy for Feito
Last Updated: July 13, 2025
Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how Feito ("we," "our," or "us") collects, uses, and discloses information when you use our Service that connects your Slack workspace and Notion account (the "Service"). Your privacy is critically important to us, and we are committed to being transparent about our data practices.
By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
1. Information We Collect
We only collect information that is essential to provide and improve our Service. The information we collect can be broken down into three categories:
A. Information You Provide to Us
- Workspace Information: When you install the Feito app in your Slack workspace, we receive your Slack Team ID. During the setup process, we store this Team ID along with the Slack bot token and the Slack User ID of the person who installed the app (the "Owner").
- Notion Authorization Token: When you connect your Notion account via OAuth, you will be prompted to select a Notion workspace to connect to Feito. By authorizing a workspace, you grant our Service access to all current and future pages within that selected workspace. We receive and store an access token corresponding to this authorization. We never see your Notion password.
- Channel Mappings: When you use the
/feito map
command, we store a mapping between a specific Slack Channel ID and a specific Notion Page URL.
B. Information Processed by the Service
- Slack Conversation Content: To function, our Service must retrieve message history from channels where it is active. This content is processed in-memory, used to create a "conversation transcript," and then sent to our AI service provider. We do not store this conversation content permanently in our primary database.
- Notion Page Content: To function, our Service must retrieve the content from the specific Notion pages you have mapped within your authorized Notion workspace. This content is processed in-memory, sent to our AI service provider for analysis, and used to generate updates. We do not store your Notion page content permanently in our primary database.
Important Note on Notion Access: Our integration requests workspace-level access to provide a seamless experience, allowing you to map any page without repeatedly re-authorizing. We will only ever read or write to a Notion page when you have explicitly mapped it to a Slack channel using the /feito map
command. We do not access, scan, or monitor any other pages in your workspace.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the sole purpose of operating the Service:
- To Provide the Core Service: We use your tokens and mappings to authenticate with Slack and Notion APIs, read conversation and document content, generate updates, and post messages.
- To Communicate With You: We use the installing owner's Slack User ID to send important notifications, such as alerts about unmapped channels or errors.
- For Service Improvement: We may analyze anonymized, aggregated usage data (e.g., number of active workspaces, number of API calls) to monitor and improve the performance and reliability of our Service. We do not use your personal content for this.
3. Data Sharing and Third-Party Sub-processors
We do not sell your personal information. We only share data with a limited number of third-party service providers (sub-processors) who are essential for us to operate the Service. These include:
- Hosting Provider (e.g., Vercel): Our application code and serverless functions are hosted on a cloud platform.
- Database Provider (e.g., Redis on Upstash, Vercel KV): Your workspace information (Team ID, tokens, mappings) is stored in a secure, managed database.
- AI Service Provider (e.g., Google via Gemini API): To provide intelligent document updates, we must send conversation transcripts and relevant Notion page content to a third-party AI service. These providers process the data to return a result and are bound by their own strict privacy and security policies. We do not permit these providers to use your data to train their models.
We take measures to ensure that all our third-party partners are compliant with high standards of data protection and security.
4. Data Storage and Security
We take the security of your data very seriously. Your authorization tokens are stored encrypted at rest in our database. We use industry-standard practices, such as HTTPS, to secure data in transit between our service, Slack, Notion, and our sub-processors.
While we implement robust security measures, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. Therefore, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
5. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain your workspace data (tokens, mappings, etc.) for as long as the Feito app is installed in your Slack workspace.
If you uninstall the Feito app from your Slack workspace, we will take reasonable steps to permanently delete your associated workspace data from our primary database within 30 days. Please note that we may retain anonymized or aggregated data for analytical purposes and some data may remain in backup archives for a limited period before being deleted.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to access, update, or delete your information. You can manage the Service's access at any time:
- To revoke Slack access: Uninstall the Feito app from your Slack workspace settings.
- To revoke Notion access: Go to the "Settings & members" section of your Notion workspace, navigate to "My connections," find the Feito integration, and choose to disconnect it.
If you wish to request the deletion of your data, please contact us at the email address below.
7. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
